One of the first things I noticed about my love when we met, was his uncanny ability to cause shit~! not the bad kind of shit, mostly the funny kind. Those times when you R told you cannot do something..but ya do it anyways, or those times when you know someone else cannot do something...but you know that you can!
Yesterday was one of those daze for my love. One of those daze where the work for the day was really pure hell. Using his brains, strength, and know how to get the job done...without anyone getting hurt, and everyone satisfied at the end of the day that it was a a job well done. He went in the truck to the local Army Base to replace some (very large) units of glass. Now Dennis has worked on this base before, so he is well aware of the many security procedures, and regulations people must follow when on base. One of the 'rules' however is one that makes him laugh...one of those technicalities of Army life that says right away..."army life is not for my man" The rule involves the well groomed landscaping on the base...otherwise known as 'The Queen's Grass" and if you are a member of the Army...DO NOT STEP ON THE QUEEN"S GRASS. My love giggles with the thought of returning to the base for work, harassing the commissionaire who must escort and supervise their every move with questions about THE GRASS. Does the Queen send special seeds for the grass? or import sod from Britain? Why is it the Queen's grass exactly? is it still Canadian? Do they send pics home to the castle so that the Queen might watch as her grass grow?
So of course, as my love pulled into the base yesterday, with the boss in the truck, passing thru the required checks, getting their assigned commissionaire to escort them, and directions for the work...what do you think my love the shitdisturber did? Yup he drove right across the Queen's Grass to get to the location, delivering the glass. He spoke of how his boss wide eyed asked "wtf? we are supposed to stay off the grass?!" to which he replied "this is not my first time at the rodeo eh? " knowing that many people knew who the ass was driving on the grass. Knowing that as a civilian...there R no penalties for touching the sacred grass....knowing that as he drove across...many grins, smirks and brows were raised, some even jealous maybe of his closeness to the grass! One of those annoying stupid rules that my love takes pleasure in breaking, continuing to entertain himself by dancing little jigs on the lawn as the Army Guys passed by. Finally arriving home with a large tree branch attached to his glass rack..."here Ryki, I brought this home for you today...its part of the Queen's Tree!"
These are the times in life when a good shitdisturb'n makes ya giggle, when you can poke fun at the serious in life (or ridiculous???) and smile cause...ya got to dance on the Queen's Grass!
