Coming out the bathroom door... so to speak

Its been three years since I came online... since I started exploring, being curious and reconnecting with old friends, and making new ones, some even becoming family. Circles developing in many places, for many reasons, spinning around the web adding a little more to my Loony day.

I have discovered a love of photography that while I think was always there has now inspired me to capture through the lense our Loony life.

It was two years ago I began the journey into blogging. For the most part it is more on the flickr end of things, as I take so many pictures...why not share?! But here is the place I can write again, use my brain a little and explore the land of blogging...and I will admit now...I spell things my own way, my punctuation is lacking if not terrible at times...and I generally like life ...do it my own way learning as I go.

I like to think that things have improved...I have found the spell check, if I think for a second I can remember how to link, nothing fancy but the little things... I can do. My photo's I like to think have come a long way too, I love to look back at shots then and now. Shots of my friends too, how we have all improved and inspired eachother along the way.

So like all things new, a change, a way of coming thru the door that I always kept closed, I am no longer hiding the blog in the shadows. No longer worried about the google factor and what someone may find. Confident that there is nothing but a Loony Life to find, one that is full of life's ups and downs, and smiles and adventures.

One of the inspirations to do this came a couple years ago, an email in July 2008, a request for a submission from a friend whom I 'met' online, a fantastic, hilarious and talented lady...ARTIST, Linda Woods. At first sharing a love of Rosie O'Donnell, and later to share some giggles, my dog, and life thru pics. I have spent many mornings (afternoons, evenings, maybe a dream or too) reading Linda's blog, along with her sister Karen Dinino, smiling, laughing, shaking my head, as they share their thoughts, and day to day.

The email was requesting a few things, to be submitted for a new book the girls were working on, with the premise of Meeting in the Ladies Room, a book of reflections of women in a room of their own. A photo, how we see ourselves in the mirror, when we are alone, our thoughts as woman as ART. I have to admit, I was stunned, honoured and just plain old giddy. Were these two new friends crazy? My Loony face in a book? NOW? This was July ... chances were I was feeding my chickens in a bright colored moo~moo, wearing rubber boots and eye glasses with one arm?! Was Linda remembering what my bathroom looked like? Buying a house from a lady who was 91years old involved a lot of pastels, and the bathroom being PINK including the tub was just not gonna cut it~! I was on a mad dash, with a deadline (and let me say for the record...mostly likely one of the only deadlines I have made in life!) to find a bathroom, something cool...something awesome...something with nature! Turns out finding an outhouse these days with a moon in the door isn't as easy as one may think? The bathroom at the mall, while cool with yellow taxi cab checkered tile was a possible... but I wanted a shot without the camera in it... and the kids (cause lets face it they are always around somewhere) In the End, it was back to the pink bathroom at home, back to positioning myself so the good side...the one with the arm on the glasses was in the shot, positioning my nose to not look wonky, yet still hold those glasses on straight! The whole time smiling and acting giddy still thrilled that Linda had asked me to be involved! I played with some props, arranged the rocks in the mirror to the right side for the shot, moved Yoda outta the way ... my lipstick, my dreads....all in place to TAKE THE SHOT.

Along with the photo, there were three simple questions. What do you see when you look in the mirror? What do you think about when you are alone? and Where is the best bathroom you have ever been in. Honestly the questions were as much fun as the photo! How should I write it? like a poem? no I have never had the patience to write them. Like a story? geeze that would be too long. Random thoughts were scribbled on a page, with pages multiplying thru the course of the month, eventually after reading through all the thoughts, the answers came to me, typed in an email... I hit SEND.

Through thick and thin and life as it is in general, a rocky road~! ...Linda and her sister Karen, with the help of another great woman Pamela Detlor managed to not only get their new book published, but being the strong willed, inspiring woman they are...they did it on their own!

Meeting in the Ladies Room available here is an amazing look into the lives of women around the globe. Reflections of themselves and their thoughts and their lives as it is ~ ART.

It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in this project, a thrill to see my loony face within its pages, and an honour to be amongst such an inspiring group of women!!!

Now if only I could have taken that shot now! I have a cannon rebel !!! (thanks my love!) my bathroom is not pink anymore!!!! the dreads are even longer! AND I have two arms on my glasses!!! go figure... life is still Loony... the mirror is dirty, the plants on the shelf are dead now, and I should be doing dishes or something..not blogging !

2010 and a whole new year ahead!!!

my new year's resolution... to blog more!! I miss it, I enjoy it...and damnit I am just gonna do it!

Speaking in general, I am not one to make yearly resolutions. Plans are always in the works around here...

1. I want to quit smoking but do not want to kill someone along the way

2. I want to go to Montreal to visit my bro Wayne and the family ... preferably in the winter so a ski trip can be included.... but do not have the $$$ (or the time now that we have been blessed with monthly appearances once again ....explaining once again...we are broke and the opposing party is full of shit)

3. I want to plan and plant my garden early this year... but reality says I am a pro at killing plants and last year all my hard work ended up 6inches under snow less than 24hrs after planting...so yup it goes in the ground from seed.... or purchased from the local nursery

But looking forward to the year ahead there are many dreams...dreams that will with any luck at all, (not to mention work) will become a reality. Those I will keep under my Loony hat for now... cause I just don't wanna jinx myself by saying it OUT LOUD.

For the blog...well lets just say there better be some regular posting around here...or I am not clicking this link anymore!!!

more recipes and cooking tips ! I have just completed a 365 project on flickr. 365 days of Dinner with Loony givertake a few... mostly givertake the take out, the dead batteries or the I just plain forgot (toobusy) If I can say anything to anyone reading this...cook real food~! cut that box crap, already pre-made, preheated, pre-frozen, pre-flipping chewed food outta your diet. You want to maintain a healthy lifestyle...start with what goes in your mouth. You wanna complain you don't have time to cook a real meal.... I say BULLSHIT~! I can cook a full meal in less than 30mins and nothing comes from a box, nothing says just add water and NUKE for 30secs. There are tricks and tips to fantastic cooking and this year I plan on sharing!!!

more funny stories from the Shoeless Acres and life with Loony and the fam ... cause lets face it...around here the giggles never stop. If Fric and Frac and Freak are not up to something funny, I am positive one of the damn dogs have done something to make you giggle (not necessarily me giggle...but I am willing to share my pain)

and more Loony thoughts and confessions about the world around me. ie/ my excitement and involvement in a fantastic new book and the road travelled to get there ...basically waiting for the news...its here...its published and YES there is a loony face in those pages.

I had considered starting totally new... scrapping this blog for something new. A way to avoid previous posts which I did not want to share. A blog that would go public...past just the friends and family online...and into reality...where everyone knows. But in the end, the delete button was a heck of a lot easier than saying goodbye to some of my favorite thoughts and posts already here.

SO for any newcomers... this is my blog. I am a Loony Cannuck living in Northern Ontario. A stay at home...homeschool'n mama living a loony life and having a great time doing it.
A few of my favorites.... just cause

To Blog or Not to Blog

I have been in a bit of a pickle lately with all this court 'twatdrama" going on, trying to decide...can the google factor hurt us? Can me sharing MY stuff online come back and bite me in the ass? History says my own downfall of forgiving everything, letting go and forgetting about past wrongs has in fact come back to bite me in the ass, to hurt my heart, and to bring stress to my otherwise happy family, BUT my blogging and flickr'n has really given me something I didn't have before, a place to share, a place to de~stress, a place to say...hey this is life on the Shoeless Acres...and damn it isn't soooo bad. This is good old fashion family fun at its best, full of smiles, LIFE and happiness! That's my goal right? To be happy...right?! So on with life and on with what makes me happy, and while it shouldn't take a genius to track me down here, or find my blog'n thoughts...I realize...those who would see this blog as 'evidence' or as something later to be used to bite me in the ass.....are not THAT smart.......so blog on I say and blog on I will do....continue to share ...life on the Shoeless Acres. My phrase of the week when dealing with the Twat, and what she may find...'sit and spin honey' cause I really do not give a damn~! No matter what the outcome, I know I will be happy, my family will be happy , and in the end that is what matters.

Some Shack Shit....

the real shit is that our season is coming to an end...fast! Our little winter cottage on the lake will have to be removed this week, and our winter fun of fishing will be another season for the books. Successful really, as our shack has been declared by many locals as the 'winning shack' the one that caught the fish, despite the lack of catch for others. A couple weeks ago while fishing, My Love said to me 'honey..you R raising warped children' Now in his defence, I will say at the time of his declaration, Fric and Frac were playing in the shack, Fric "punching" Frac in HER belly while she burped simultaneously. A trait both Fric and Frac R both proud of...burping on command, even throwing in a hello here and there, or burping their names out, a trait inherited from their Dad, and he says I am the one raising warped kids??? Now while I will admit that Fric and Frac are not the average children playing, I am proud to say I am proud of their 'warpness' Proud that they can jump to get ready when the phone rings in the afternoon, the call that says..."I am coming home be ready" Proud that in less than 18mins they can both be dressed and ready to go, to spend the next few hours on the lake, fishing with their Dad, exploring the lake around them, flying kites, skating, laughing playing....yes I am proud to say if my kids are warped, they are the best damn warped kids I know! And I was even more proud last Saturday night when not only did Aspen bring home a fishing derby trophy...but was chosen to choose the winning ticket for the grand prize. "I remember you" said the man in charge of the draw and the microphone "hop up on the table dear and you can pick the winner!" While other kids were running, bugging screaming, there were my fric and frac sitting at the table, clapping for the winners, admiring their second place trophy and Jane's new rod.

We may not lead the 'average normal' lifestyle I suppose, but then again I do not know many people who would ever say I was the average normal kinda girl. But at the end of the day, amongst the 'MOM he/she did this" or "MOM I am hungry" or "MOM I can't find clean socks" our warped little lifestyle brings smiles ....our happy little home is HAPPY, excited about the day to come, proud of the memories made the day before, and content with the fact..that ya...simple...warped...different...its ours, Shoeless and Happy~!

Moving On with LIfe....

So a few things to deal with besides...
1. getting back to my happy fucking clog (edit blog...if it was a clog and it was mine...you wouldn't be able to handle the heat...smell)
2. my dog is in heat, and at the present time..considering the real meaning of that word..I would like to know WhoTF calls it a heat..there is nothing warm about it...besides the raging feeling of needing something to make your insides not go fucking beserk (insert my own mama rage cause it was NEVER like this before children, and I cannot find anything funny about this quinky dink!)
3. can you see a theme in my mood yet...what i am gonna blame this whole fucking week on?
4. finding my way to laugh smile and remain my happy fucking loony self
5. this is me taking my moment to spew all the fucking crap before I start again...begin again....start a new day after a week of caca

first with the terrible, acknowledging and then opening once again my big mouth.....in a recent post I spoke of a boy who was missing, a boy I called a spoiled little bastard, as I take a moment to remember a boy who is no longer a local boy. This week, information confirming the boy has been lost, to life, to a future to the world. I remember the day I typed the words...spoiled little bastard, and I thought...not him the parents. In my post I blamed the parents, and suggested they should be held responsible. My post today...I feel terrible this child was lost, but in my bitchy spoiled little self...I am also angry and still blaming the parents...still saying ...wake the fuck up people and remember your parents. There is much more running thru my mind on this terrible tragedy..but I will respect the loss of a mama, and remember for a moment the spirit that was Brandon...a boy.

next...damn that dog for being a pain in my ass
after.....I have learned this week the power of delete makes for the p0wer of not being annoyed
now...i am working on my todo list...still failing but damn well trying on a schedule...hour by hour ...typical loony fashion of missing a full one and smiling...proud to say woo hoo I deserve it now that I wake up at 3:30am instead of 6"30 fucking am....
our unskewl'n loony ways of making our way thru the day...seems to actually be working....I am happy to report when they say "i am bored" and I say "lets do this' ....they say ok!!!They are both spelling words with ease, and Aspen's memory on the reading...is scary~!

so start'n next week...I am blog'n back to figuring out blog'n...maybe even sharing our screwd up loony schedule of our skewl'n ways, getting back to the basics of reminding you all to ...cook real fucking food, and celebrating the smile in our day with you all....etc bla bla bla....back to taking photos smiling and sharing shoeless fun~!

Definitions of A Loon

you know after reading my post yesterday I thought perhaps for anyone who hasn't figured me out yet I might define some of my thoughts. I would explain that this loon usually has blunt straight forward ways of saying things. I would explain I was not trying to be smug when I call myself a spoiled brat, but sometimes in a loony way that is how I feel.

I am spoiled to be living here in Canada, even more living here on My Shoeless Acres with my children and with my love. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, and the smiles of my children. Spoiled that we are in a safe place like Canada where I do not have to worry about my kids getting sick or a bomb going off.

But when I say spoiled, it is because I know there are sooo many people out their who cannot have what I have. Who have to fight for their rights to love, to be a family, to be recognized as anything but normal.

My life now has not come without it ups and downs...it did not suddenly appear before me..and I would like to think (without sounding spoiled) that it is a road in my life I have travelled to.

I have always been Loony, not always been Mama. I have always been the girl who did what she wanted but was taught that was not without hard work, and without understanding. I grew up in small town Ontario where there was not diversity, there was farmland, and family...small town attitudes with small town smiles. I moved on as a teen with big city lights sparkling in my eyes to a whole new world. I busted my ass to pay my own way, to see and do what I wanted when I wanted...because I could...I am a spoiled Canadian Girl. But thru my travels and my hard bust'n ass work I learned more about tolerance..I may have even taught others about tolerance. Go figure a girl from the small town ended up spending a decade working for people who were 'not' from the small town. People from all over the world, with all types of traditions, views and attitudes. Where I learned about the Chinese culture, the Hindu beliefs and the Italian ways of family life, I even became part of these families of different cultures, seeing my Hindu family go thru the 'dishonor' of love outside the religious (Color) realm, the pain of seperation, the joy of their family reconnecting despite their differences.

and despite all the differences, and the attitudes that came with each culture, including attitudes towards 'their own' it was always easy to find a smile, some love and understanding. its only when we can accept these differences, and celebrate the sharing of our smiles that we can come to understand and tolerate eachother. Perhaps I am spoiled...perhaps naive, but always holding on to hope for change

When I posted yesterday about people and their smiles that was not just a smile I was promoting, but acceptance and tolerance thru your smile. I think its time for us all to stand up and say...I agree...I disagree...I want my voice and my smile heard. This is something this spoiled brat needs to step up to, this is something we all need to step up to. I am still hoping for change in our world where we are all accepted, as a Mama I am still hoping for change for our children who need help, for families to be allowed to be families, to be recognized for what they are....love in action.

Haven't quite figured out yet what this spoiled Canadian Girl can do yet to take action...but when I do I will let you know!

monday morning thoughts of ...its tooo freak'n early!

Monday morning, changing time, changing year, wake up 5:45am...fall back and sleep in...... my ass! is all I have to say about that. Strangely Nishka still woke me up like clockwork at 12:30 for a run outside change has not affected her schedule...but damn way to early to wake up!

Halloween..fantastic, a great night of fun and candy. Aspen a Renaissance queen and Ryki the ninja with Mama trailing along behind counting heads in my head to toe sparkling clown outfit. When the headlights hit me I am told I look like a dancing disco ball. Strategic and Fun is my costume..safety for our group walking cause no one can miss that shine, and easy to find for my kids coming out of a house with fifty other running screaming children. I was told by the locals you have to go to King St. I feel sorry for those with that address, firetrucks parked at each end blocking traffic to locals only, what seemed like a thousand children running here and there. Some neighbours banding together...parking at one, and partying at the other on the deck with a brew and yards filled with those inflatable deco's...huge eyeballs hanging from the rooftops! We had to explain to our goonie tribe of six ...no punching out the deco's..."but they bounce right back atcha~!" I heard. haunted houses, lots of candy and a treasure hunt and campfire to cap off the night...it was great.

confession time.....
in my question to determine what the hell is a blog and why am I doing it....I was listening to a program about blogging on the CBC radio, the why's the how's and the what fors....maybe i should have just googled 'what the hell is a blog'
what i noted was ...what am i trying to say...do i have a cause....who are the people i am trying to reach...well damn that is more work to figure out for me I guess. on top of the chores, the to do list, the skewlwork. I think I have the basics...and thinking there may be some tweaking..who knows...this is what I know. what am I saying..most times what ever the hell I want, sometime a ramble bout our life round the acres, with a goonie tale or two, sometimes me crabbing bout the news that annoys me, or thoughts that run thru my loony head do i have a cause..sure i do...the plight of the good dad that doesn't want to be screwed by the fact he does not have custody, or any rights really ...can i fight the good cause...no because for the most part the fight just comes back to bite you in the ass...so in there will be the tweaking...how much am i willing to risk that someone who I might not want to see will see my blog...but that would be my cause....who am I trying to reach...well my friends, my rbloggers and who ever else should happen to want to escape and share a tale from the Shoeless Acres.

oh...and inspired by another rblogger..I have created a to do list...(WORK!) I am attempting to get'erdone so to speak, and working harder at setting a schedule I found mine from the daysinndazeof hotel'n...I had it booked to the fifteen minute time spans way back when...so i should be able to remember how right? first on the list...good morning emails, blogs and then...shut the computer down for the day...................augh...we will see how this goes...I should be back by three!

on a happy hat note..my obsession has finally figured out how to make a BIG size hat without the toaster cover look to it. there has been many a hat been torn apart over the past week leaving me behind once again ...driving me batty but its done...figured out .... mastered the happy hat!

Holy Crap~! Post 100...I can't believe it

and I still don't know what I am doing~! But still enjoying this very much, despite the fact I would love to add some stuff..."badges" "links" etc. it is not that I haven't tried, I have ~! but that is where you insert the "i don't know what I am doing" URL's, Links to this, is it Legal to do that?? One day I will gain the savy ... for now you are all just stuck with my words, thoughts, and smiles.(IASAIT)

So to celebrate...a little of everything!

Cooking Tips...cook your own food~! not the kind that comes in a box, or ready to microwave(evil machines) make dinner everyday for five days...keeps ya healthy!

The Family Blender..see post 99...actually skip it is is really depressing seeing the realities and piles of shit we deal with(not the pile of shit got bigger just last night...but I am NOT dwelling on stupid people anymore!)

Family..
My loony goonies R doing fantastic and ready to start back to school (not sure if I am..but will get there ASAP) My love arrived home early yesterday giving me an opportunity to take an afternoon nap...aka really just watching General Hospital with my eyes closes. As usual the nap only lasted 15mins when Aspen was shouting in the vent above me..."r U sleeping yet ? we caught two baby snakes, do you want to see them?" no nap and no last fifteen minutes of GH! but two cute little snakes? in my antique can. Fun for the brats as they took the chance to 'learn how to pick them up and not jump and scream while doing it'
We attended the 28th annual Kelly Cunneyworth Reunion (one would think after 28years I would know how to spell cunniworth??? luckily I am a Kelly~!) As usual many annoying moments, but the smiles, tears, hugs and laughter always out way the dark side! A chance to reconnect with part of my family I have not seen in a decade...all of us smiling together like we had never been apart! My children giddy for the day as they played with family! fantastic memories to tuck away.
we have added a new member to our family after meeting a beautiful woman name Niecey! (along with her family too...I love it when family grows!)

Farminals..damn i raised me some fine birds this year...tasty tasty stuff! twenty more arriving September 17th.

green Stuff...I love green stuff and not looking forward to it turning all white again...with the exception of the ski~factor

Healthy Eating...see cooking tips above

I am Mama~! yes I am and loving it.

Just for fun and learning how...Just for fun and learning how? damn there is two of those labels? damn there is two of those labels..must have really been fun learning how!!!

local News that Drives me batty
~! Living just outside the small town of Callander, Ontario I admit I felt a sense of (new) hometown pride when I realized a young man from town is part of the Canadian Olympic Team for Track and Field. This week in the local small town weekly paper I read a story of his DELAYED trip to Beijing after attempting to board his Air Canada flight to the games. It would seem some ANAL guard at the gates stopped young Taylor Milne and flagged his passport as unacceptable at the gate. The passport Milne admitted had gone thru the wash two years prior but noted to the guard that he had in fact just flown to Belgium the week before with the same passports, as well had obtained his Chinese Visa for the Games from CHINA? after contacting Airport Officials..the jack ass guard still stuck to his guns and denied the passport despite the fact the officials were willing to let Milne continue on his journey. His journey was delayed a full week! New passport, and then a new visa were required for our Olympian Athlete to make it to the Games. My question is ..did this Jack Ass of a Guard stop to notice Milne was wearing a Canadian Olympic Athlete Jacket? or that his carry on bag was a bag designed just for our Team Members? I dislike anal people...very much!

and another sorta local story of a 'self proclaimed environmentalist" gent from Ottawa (the cit~iot) who recently purchased some lake front property in a northern community (Kilarney) After taking his refuse to the local dump one day, he has began a campaign...calling in his 'environmental lobby friends' to join his cause. It would seem he is troubled by the fact he spotted thirteen bears at the dump eating garbage. He is concerned that there is a large campground 3kms away, what about the safety of those campers?? and the safety of local RESIDENTS. His campaign is to raise awareness of this problem to petition the local community to erect fencing around the dump to stop the bears, possibly going as far as electrifying the fence line to ensure they stay out. Now don't get me wrong...when the bear was spotted on our street last week...and returned to our neighbours within thirty minutes despite being chased off by man and dog...I was ready for the nuisance to be shot...I am Mama! update..the bear has not returned, and no tracks visible in daze. BUT is this the first time this guy has left his concrete jungle?? has he considered by closing the dump off to the bears..they will follow their noses 3kms over to those campers?? One of the best parts of long weekend fishing trips as a child was the end of the weekend, and the trip to the dump to get rid of our garbage and WATCH THE BEARS??? I am guessing any local RESIDENTS know the bears R there when they go to the dump, I even know of many local dumps that R built in consideration of the bears....a bigass hole that you lob the garbage into...the bears go down there you don't?~! I wonder if this guy and his lobby Friends are going to do the fundraising to for the cost of enclosing an entire country dump with hightech fencing for the bears too? cause from what I know of Northern Communties..there isn't really alot of money to go around....just for the bears to go under! dumbass!

Morning Chai..outta chai today..sipping on some Jasmine

Our Pets...not a post yet, I think usually under wildlife? Daisy learned the hard way over the weekend about chasing cars...not surprised however she seems to have tucked and rolled and bounced right back being annoying as ever...despite a big hole in her leg. The rodent is still surviving? and the two baby snakes in my antique can? will not be pets...will be released today!

Loony thoughts....

Hope you all have a fantastically fucking loony day!!!

I lossed...a piece of my heart, it was broken, it was lost and i hope will one day be found again. I will not pray cause it just does not happen that way...life happens life loves life lives life sucks....but still life smiles.

my goal has and always be ..... to be happy.

Happiness comes with a smile, happiness begins with sunshine, and if you look straight through the clouds, and take a deep breath from the toes to the smile...you will find the happy in your happy day.

Day two

So....today i managed to figure out how to add a link to fellow friendly bloggers...if you noticed so far I have only added one that belongs to a fellow stay at home mom...Liz! Who I will give a shout out to for showing me the way, and giving me the idea of starting all this.

It is because of my friends in the Rbloggers for Peace group on Flicr that I started this journey into blogging yesterday, and I am taking it as a sign that perhaps this was all meant to be because I found my new Tshirt in the Mailbox yesterday too!! Props and Thanks to Meg...it is a great T, and I am wearing it now.

So back to my world on the Shoeless Acres!! Yesterday when we woke up at the usual 6:30am there was barely any snow on the ground and the morning was chilly. FF to dinnertime and after a full day of none stop snow, we have a good 4-6inches. Today the trees are covered in that pretty winterwonderland kinda snow, but the temperature still remains at -18degrees!!!! brrrrr! It was soo cold this morning my hubby Dennis had to run extentions to his truck and use a hair dryer to defrost his ignition!! Today they are calling for another couple of inches to arrive this afternoon. Welcome to life in the north!!! Luckily for us the woodstove is stoked...which I believe is the only heat that keeps you warm inside and out. On the downside, I have to go out to my only farminals left...two turkeys every couple of hours to give them "warm" water, and by the looks of things we will be keeping the birds till Dec.21. I rang the butcher this morning and booked the big event...fresh turkey for Christmas Dinner..YUM! It was funny when I asked the butcher how to transport them because the chicken crates were not gonna cut it...they are really big! He said "most people will just bring them in the trunk" so in the hatchback they will go!! As a bit of annoyance it would seem that some local hunter as used the end of our dead end street as a dumping ground for his venison/moose leftovers because my dogs are returning from their morning perimeter checks with some tasty tid bits, turning my yard into a doggy buffet of various bones, chunks of hide and meat. It would not bother me so much if it wasn't for the fact the old girl Nishka tends to scarf when she feels Daisy the puppy is getting too close resulting in a stagnent mess on my kitchen floor for me to clean (gag yuck gag!) So we are onto the afternoon. The kids have finished their school work for the morning, and today is Wednesday...cooking day!!! Some chocolate morsels my family calls FLUBDUBS....mmmmm good!

New Beginnings...and the journey there

ok...testing testing...here goes nothing!!
I have decided for the one year anniversary of our household finally going on line...I will celebrate with starting this.

Not sure entirely what this blogging stuff is all about, but in the last year I have learned a few things....bear with me now! I have still soooo much to learn! But besides learning some tricks I have 'met' some folks who have become dear to me, and I don't even know them! The support I have received from some of my new friends has literly saved my sanity more than once, the things I have shared have in return given me joy when others share back....especially pictures!!!

back to the beginnings...today is Day one of learning the how too's of blogging. I must complete this task in small parts building into the completed work....cause truth be told...I have become an internet junkie, if I loose control of time spent here I may find the computer in the sno bank !!! not too mention the five and six year old looking at me wondering when lunch is!!!!
